As a prerequisite for doing business with JBSS, every vendor and supplier must agree to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct.

Supplier/Contract Manufacturing Quality Expectations

JBSS is passionate about providing real food that brings joy, nourishes people and protects the planet. We mandate strict compliance with food safety standards and other government regulations designed to protect against injuries related to food consumption. We routinely assess our quality processes for ensuring food safety, which includes visual detection, screening, metal detectors and other electronic monitors at various stages of operations. We annually test for many types of pesticides, heavy metals, and mycotoxins found in our ingredients.

Across all John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. locations, we have achieved Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) certification. This certification is a voluntary endeavor, managed by the Consumer Goods Forum, undertaken by food industry leaders to promote a harmonized approach to managing food safety across the industry. All of our manufacturing facilities are Safe Quality Food Certified (SQF) and we have a robust pathogen program to ensure our customers are receiving the product that they expect and trust.
